No previous music experience is necessary to audition for the Concert Chorus or TYC. Any young person with a love of singing, who will be in the third grade by fall, may audition. Criteria for placement into the Concert Chorus or TYC include the ability to match pitch, sing a simple melody, both in unison and as a part of a round, musicianship, and vocal range. Each audition lasts about 10 minutes with the Artistic Director, during which time the Executive Director will meet with the singer’s family to explain the time and financial commitment required and expected as a member of the Tulsa Children’s Chorus.
